Comet is a solid 60 lb. dark red golden male that hales from St. Croix Falls Wisconsin. Comet was acquired from his breeder, Wendy Spangler, of Greenmeadow Retrievers, and moved to Colorado in March of 2005 with solid competition training and stud possibilities. Since coming to Colorado, Comet completed his Junior and Senior Hunt Test titles in 2006 and has now obtained his AKC Master Hunt Title as of August 24, 2008.  He is an extremely handsome boy with a dark red coat and a white shining star on his chest. I was attracted to him by his striking colors, competition training, and a solid pedigree that includes a Quartermoon and Top Brass background. He is the son of a Master Hunter, Counterpoint Captain, and obedience qualifier, Topbrass Teal.

Comet loves the water!  He is my duck hunter companion. He has a thick coat that has braved the Wisconsin winters and has the temperament and patience to hole up in the duck blind while waiting and watching the skies. Comet still believes he is a lap dog however, and at 60 lbs is a little more difficult to handle.

Comet's features are an excellent complement to Lizzie. His physical stature and love of the water should bring a nice mix to future litters.
